Welcome! The Rise of The Natural Arts
As technological advances sweep through society, there is a counter-balance rising up to match it. Its been described by the sophisticated as a ‘cultural backlash’ or in spiritual terms as a ‘shift in consciousness’, but whatever name you give it – the results are obvious. One-by-one people are feeling a calling and a pull back towards a more earthly rhythm. They are heeding a call back to The Natural Arts.
The Natural Arts are activities that feed, nurture and repair. As much as Facebook and Twitter might ‘connect’ us technologically, the Natural Arts are practices that ‘reconnect’ us naturally to our inner selves, to the earth and to one another. Gardening, yoga, meditation, expressive arts, and energy healing are all examples from The Natural Arts movement that are seeing a sharp statistical increase in popularity. The people who are rediscovering these art forms are themselves finding islands of peace in an otherwise loud and chaotic world.
A Definition of the Natural Arts
No one person can master all aspects of life, and it quickly becomes obvious that the healer must rely on the gardener who must rely on the carpenter. Communities are built on reciprocal relationships and it is these co-dependent relationships that will create the strong bonds of a new social group. A group built on common values and a desire for conscious quality and intrinsic fulfillment.
I urge you to find places in your own life where the Natural Arts can be a good fit. If you are already a member of this amorphous group – its time to connect with those who are like you. Rely on one another and support each other as we build this new community. The time is right to unite all of our independent selves to create a visible alternative option for people who are ready to find something more in life.
Love the post.
I have been working all summer putting together new programs and offerings to help more people think this way. Letting go of old ” stuff” will help our earth in so many ways.
I so agree with what you say here.
For years I have lived this way, always recycling, re-purposing and making sure the energy of exchange was ever present and acknowledged. I have gathered many like-minded friends and am glad to see your voice stating this.
